Prenzlau, February 1st, 2023

The climate-tech pioneer Autarq is one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. This is now also shown by the award of the TOP 100 innovation competition. Since 1993 compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 seal for special innovative strength and above-average innovation success to companies. Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, heads the scientific evaluation of the award. With 26 research awards and over 200 publications, he is one of the leading innovation researchers internationally. The scientific evaluation takes into account over one hundred performance indicators in five categories. In addition to management that promotes innovation, processes, successes and corporate culture are also decisive factors. The award ceremony will take place in Augsburg on June 23, 2023. Autarq has been a leader in the research and development of modular plug-and-play solar photovoltaic technologies since 2012. Currently in its fourth product generation, the company's proprietary solar technology represents continuous innovation and improvement in the field of photovoltaics.

"We are pleased to be part of this group of companies and are proud to contribute to the innovative power of Germany's small and medium-sized enterprises, thus giving further importance to the business location. We are not only concerned with innovative technologies, but also how we can use them to advance the roofing trade, the energy industry and ultimately our common future," says Kai Buntrock, Autarq’s Managing Director.

About Autarq:

Founded in 2011 by electrical engineer Cornelius Paul, climate tech pioneer Autarq is now one of the most innovative players in the European solar industry. Simple, safe and aesthetic: For the Autarq solar roof tile system, conventional standard clay roof tiles are refined into powerful solar roof tiles. With the patented wirie harness, they form a building-integrated solar solution that is the only one on the market to work in safe extra-low voltage and highly adaptive parallel connection, as well as without power electronics on the roof. In doing so, the company under CEO Kai Buntrock pursues the mission of making the technology as simple and safe as possible for users in terms of planning, installation and operation, and to advance the energy transition from and in Europe. Autarq GmbH has been part of econnext AG since 2017.
